December 10, 2010 Antler Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary Holiday Bazaar was a Huge Success Antler Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary hosted its annual holiday bazaar last weekend and it was a huge success. They raised over $3,000 for the animals through the sale of their famous boxwood centerpieces and other crafts and items created and donated by the volunteers. This year visitors were delighted as they were greeted by the Sanctuaries reindeer mascots Dancer and Prancer. The bazaar was buzzing with local honey from the Honey Lady, chestnuts roasting on the open fire, and delicious treats from Catered Confections the sanctuaries volunteer baker Melissa Rowe. Sunday's visitors were treated to a visit by Santa and NYC carriage rides by Precious Moment's Carriages. This annual event helps support the sanctuaries mission to provide care and treatment to sick, injured or orphaned wild animals. Rehabilitate them back to their wild state so they can be returned to the wild. To actively educate the public to care for the ecosystems and support the environment in which they live and the wildlife they share it with. To protect and preserve our native lands for the future wildlife habitat. Antler Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife rehabilitation center that provides care to orphaned or injured wild life. We are licensed by the state of New Jersey to care for Fawns Raccoon, Skunks Opossums, Squirrels, Rabbits, Woodchucks and other small mammals. The Sanctuary a 120 acre preserved farm is located in Warren County, New Jersey. We are a 501©3 non profit organization. We are entirely supported by public donations and volunteers. Antler Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary was the place to be on October 10,2010. The sanctuary Hosted Pink Hay Bales of Hope a fund raiser to support Breast Cancer Awareness, and honor the many cancer survivor volunteers who dedicate much of their time caring for the animals at the sanctuary. It was a day of celebration of life, hope and courage. Pink warriors for the cause! Hay Bales were arranged into a large pink ribbon symbol and each hay bale was dedicated to a person, hope or dream. The event raised over $6,000 of which half was presented to Horizon of Hope a Longaberger event for the American Cancer Society in the hope to find a cure for Breast Cancer. The day was filled with tarot card readings, yoga for the soul and a walk around the farm featuring the edible forest tour.
